So, you’ve never heard of a Children’s’ Beauty Pageant that rewards the virtues of Good Grace, Good Grades & Good Eye Contact when being addressed, rather than focusing on Fake Hair, Fake Tans and Those Ridiculous-looking Fake Teeth? Well there is such a thing as a Positive Childrens Beauty Pageant and one of the most coveted Pageants is right here in Kansas City.
"The Little Miss Precious Pageants" are geared to the novice pageant
contestant. We focus on improving self-confidence, communication skills, and speaking in an articulate fashion. "Little Miss Precious" knows the importance of a sincere smile and the power of eye contact when addressing others - all valuable skills not learned in the classroom or on a soccer field.
We are so proud of "Little Miss Precious" and the type of girls that enter it. We are the only "All Natural" children and teen Pageant, owned and operated by a two-time National Pageant State Winner. We are NOT like the TV Show Toddlers & Tiaras. We are NOT Little Miss Perfect. We showcase the a young lady's natural beauty--that which is inside--the beauty of the heart, not just of the physical. Let’s face it, beauty changes, and over time it may even fade. However, social and self- awareness never goes away. It will be much more important for the child to have learned these traits than simply to have been born beautiful.
The coveted title of "Little Miss Precious" seems to be exactly what Midwestern families want. “We have been asked over and over again, “This isn’t like those pageants on TV with all the makeup and thousand dollar gowns is it?” Proud Midwestern families place more importance on substance, not symbolism. “A Little Miss Precious contestant is a well rounded, confident, sweet, polite, charming and adorable little girl, or confident young woman, that is simply as we call it~Precious!”
~OUR STAFF~
LINDA BADAMI, DIRECTOR and PAGEANT COACH
Linda is a former Miss Missouri Teen and Miss Missouri World Title Holder, both nationally recognized pageants. Linda performed and appeared nationally, with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, and the Kansas City Chiefs. She is a pageant veteran, formerly working with the Miss Usa Pageants, and has been a successful pageant coach. She coached Constance Ramos(HGTV Star) to her Missouri Crown, and works with local talent agencies. Linda has performed at the Tivoli Theatre, Worlds of Fun show productions and Theatre under the Stars in Kansas City. She has a fitness video, and has appeared on the Tonight Show and David Letterman! Linda is the mother of four boys-two in University, one just graduated (Ivy League!) and her "baby" is graduating High School this year! She is thrilled to share her experience and expertise with the families of the Midwest as Director/Producer of the "Little Miss Precious Pageants!"
~OUR JUDGES~
LORENZO
Lorenzo is a renowned Beauty Pageant Coach and Judge. He is an icon in the Pageant World and has appeared in both movie and television productions--Lorenzo starred in MTV'S "Tiara Girls" and the movie "American Shopper, to name just a few. He is a 'triple threat', performing as an actor, singer and dancer throughout the United States and Europe. He will be traveling to Las Vegas in January, as one of his "proteges" will be competing in the Miss America Pageant! We are so honored that he has found the time to be involved with the "Little Miss Precious Pageants!"
CINDY LEAH LASALA
Leah is the National Creative Director for "Beauty Brands Incorporated." She is an expert on all the current trends and innovations in the beauty and fashion industry. In fact, you will find her every year, assisting with "Fashion Week" in New York-her favorite city! Leah shares her judging talents with the Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleaders and creates their signature looks, on posters and calendar shoots. She is also a motivational speaker, who believes in the strength of inner beauty and a positive self confidence for all our young ladies. We are so fortunate to have her exuberance, passion and perpetually positive energy at all our events!
RENEE SCHULTZ-WILLIAMS
Renee is a veteran pageant participant, who was runner-up for the Miss America preliminaries for Clay County and Columbia, Missouri and was crowned "Queen of the Fiesta Mexicana 1976!" She is a noted dance instructor, coach and choreographer, and her students have gone on to win numerous local and national awards and competitions. Renee has performed with the Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleaders, the Kansas City Royalettes, St. Louis Cardinals and an MU "Golden Girl!" She belongs to numerous professional business organizations and believes that pageant competitions give young women the confidence to succeed in the business world. We are honored to have her as a judge at the "Little Miss Precious Pageants!"
LIZZY RAYA, GUEST JUDGE
Lizzy is our National American Miss Jr. Teen 2011! Her passions are singing, photography, and of course-Pageants! She will be competing for Miss Teen Kansas, and with the title she hopes to help young girls who struggle with weight and self-esteem issues. Lizzy believes in exercise and leading a healthy lifestyle. She hopes to attend New York University to pursue a Business/Photography Degree and wants to own her own photography business. We are so elated that Lizzy carves out time to help us judge our Precious contestants!
We have a professional staff of former Pageant Title Holders and many have been involved in the performing arts, throughout the Midwest. Our staff is committed to providing a professional and fun atmosphere, for our contestants and their families, at all times!
